Only a well-designed screw could drive into hard woods such as oak or cherry without having to pre-drill! Phillips Plus Interior Screws have a type 17 cutting point so that they drill while they drive. The patented Phillips Plus recess allows for the additional torque needed to drive into these hard woods.
Stronger – more steel was left under the head of the screw. This means it is no longer the weak point of the screw.
Zinc Yellow Dichromate Finish – more corrosion resistance than plain zinc but not recommended for outdoors.
Interior Screw Kit – the Phillips Plus Interior Screw Kit is perfect for every household. It comes with an assortment of flat head screws, pan head screws, a Phillips Plus Driver Bit, and even a 3" Phillips Plus Screwdriver in a divided plastic box for storing. There are over 200 screws.
Pan-Head or Flat-Head Style – depending on your application and preference, Phillips Plus Interior Screws are available with both head styles. The flat-head style has cutting ribs under the head which aids in seating flush to the wood.
ACR stands for anti-cam-out recess. There are ribs on the driver bit that engage the patented recess to reduce stripping, provide increased torque, enhance off-angle drivability, and offers a stick fit that makes screw driving easier. Phillips II Screws can be driven with a standard Phillips Bit and a Phillips II Bit. For the features of the patented ACR system, we recommend the Phillips II Bit that is included.
